Working With Your Body

Non-psychoactive - CBD can work wonders on your skin
The EndoCannabinoid System

If you think of the endocannabinoid system (ECS) which modulates so many functions in the body, as a network of roads, then Cannabidiol (CBD) determines which lights turn red and which lights turn green. More technically, CBD is a phytocannabinoid which can modulate the ECS and its signaling function as an agonist, inverse agonist, and allosteric modulator.

Cannabidiol is pronounced: ka-NA-bi-dyol

Unlike THC or other psychoactive phytocannabinoids, more than 100 clinical studies have shown CBD’s health benefits, including the treatment of numerous diseases, can be realized without any neurological side effects. Further, studies have even shown that CBD alleviates the neuropsychiatric effects of THC. Among cannabinoids, CBD is one of the most scientifically studied.

•ANTI-AGING - superior antioxidant properties

•NOURISHES SKIN - rich omega-3/6 fatty acids

•BALANCES - oil production and regulates Ph

•NATURAL SUNSCREEN - helps protect from UV rays

•ACNE - prevents and heals

•ECZEMA - modulates and promotes healing

What is CBD?

CBD exhibits a broad spectrum of potential therapeutic properties in animal models and in humans, including:

Pain relief

Conditions such as arthritis, injury, back pain, and cancer can be debilitating and severely impact quality of life. Studies in animals that use CBD have shown substantial anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects.

Anti-seizure

Animal and human studies have shown that CBD has anti-convulsant properties. A study published in the European Journal of Epilepsy used animal modules to conclude that “when combined with a reported absence of psychoactive effects, this evidence strongly supports CBD as a therapeutic candidate.”

The study also remarked that “CBD currently represents the most promising phytocannabinoid candidate for clinical utilization due to its non-psychotropic properties, low toxicity and high tolerability in humans and other animal species.”

But is it legal?

Industrial hemp-derived CBD, which has less than 0.3% THC, is legal to use for various health benefits. Cannabidiol crystal derived from hemp and purified through a process known as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) contains 99.8% CBD and less than 0.1% THC.
